A Very Strange Spring!

Who could have foreseen what was coming?  Just a month ago we were saying farwell to Beth and wishing her well for her upcoming holiday to the Philippines, sadly now cancelled.  I had hoped to introduce you to our new Head Housekeeper Roy, who started in January,  but with a heavy heart we have had to furlough his employment with us until at least the end of next month and possibly further.  Our new assistant housekeeper won’t be starting with us until later this year, fingers crossed!

On a happier note our grateful thanks go to Deeside Distillery for so generously providing us with hand sanitizer, helping to keep us safe, and to make sure of the well-being our guests is our top priority.  It’s truly heart-warming how communities have come together to help each other out at this time, and I hope we can keep reminding ourselves of all the goodness  and kindness around us.

We are so sorry we have had to cancel so many holidays due to Government Advice during this coronavirus pandemic.  I know lots of you will be looking forward to your holiday, either later this year or next, and all I can promise is that a lovely warm welcome  awaits when it is safe for you to come here.   I know it’s not the same, but please keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages where I’ll be posting photos of Spring arriving, and take the time to imagine your next holiday here.   We’d love to hear what you’re doing to keep busy during this strange time of isolation.  Here’s a few pics in the meantime to keep your spirits up!

Height-adjustable wash-basins

We are delighted to let you know that we have replaced two of our height-adjustable washbasins in Gairn and Clunie, after we updated Gelder in 2017.  Girnock will have to wait until this period of isolation is over, but we hope to have it done by the end of Spring.  We have  opted for the latest version of the Astor-Bannerman wheelchair accessible height-adjustable wash-basin, since the originals lasted almost 18 years!  The new design is much more sleek and stylish looking and we’re really happy with them.   Take a look at the link below for further information.
