How to Find Us

Crathie lies at the heart of Royal Deeside in the Cairngorm National Park. It is situated between the villages of Braemar and Ballater on the A93, approximately 50 miles West of Aberdeen.

Famous for its proximity to Balmoral, Crathie is popular throughout the year with visitors attracted to the wonderful Scottish scenery and local sights. Balmoral Castle, Crathie Kirk and Braemar Highland Gathering are all world famous. There are castles, museums, heritage centres and distilleries to explore as well as the many other outdoor pursuits.

Since Queen Victoria and Prince Albert built Balmoral Castle in the mid 19th century successive members of the Royal Family have escaped from the pressures of public life to this peaceful and beautiful corner of Scotland.
